Welcome to Wheatbelt NRM

The Avon Catchment Council (ACC) recently undertook a comprehensive review of its governing arrangements to ensure the regional group was moving forward with a better way to assist the community to manage their natural resources. As part of this review ACC has revisited its Constitution resulting in significant changes to the formation of our Board of Management, and our Membership criteria. These changes allow us to develop a skills-based governing Board that is guided by the interests of a defined and cohesive Membership base. To reflect this transformation Avon Catchment Council has also change its name to Wheatbelt Natural Resource Management (NRM) Incorporated.

Wheatbelt NRM Inc will be an independent community based group providing community leadership for natural resource management with a focus on promoting and coordinating improvements in environmental, social and industry practices relating to natural resources outcomes in the Avon River Basin. It will undertake key projects and other initiatives that bring benefit and improvement to natural resources within the Avon River Basin and achieves this through working with a variety of stakeholders in the pursuit of shared goals.
